School Transport

We encourage everyone to utilise the minibus service to reduce traffic flow through the school at the start and end of each day and to reduce our impact on the environment. When considering your requirements we ask you to note the following points:​

  • Routes published on the school website are the current minibus routes operated by the school.

  • Routes are always under review and subject to change.

  • Some routes are extremely popular and we will do our very best to meet all your requirements, although this is not always possible.

  • Times shown are departure times.

  • Seats are booked each term via the Vectare online booking system. Details are sent to parents by email during the second half of each term, to book ahead for the next term.

 

The minibus service is managed by our School Coordinator (Co-Curricular). The school minibus service is available for children in Reception upwards, subject to approval by the School Coordinator (Co-Curricular).

Minibus Routes

Morning and afternoon routes for some minibuses may differ so please check each of your routes before selecting your service.

Allocation of Places

All children on late-afternoon minibuses must be attending either a school club or activity (including prep or Tea-time club).

We appreciate that changes will be necessary to accommodate the termly change in clubs chosen and the School Coordinator (Co-Curricular) will endeavour to accommodate these. Please note that you need to submit your bus requests through the Vectare system in order to secure a place, even if you simply wish to keep your current minibus options.

The termly submission window for minibus places will remain open for a period of time after your club choices have been approved or declined. This allows you to adjust them depending on the outcome of your club requests. There will also be an opportunity to book further prep and Tea-time club places and apply for any undersubscribed clubs during that time.

Booking Minibus Places

Minibuses are booked using Vectare and instructions for this are communicated each term. A timings schedule containing key booking deadlines is published by the School Coordinator (Co-Curricular) each term.

Making Changes to your Child's Minibus Schedule

Whilst we encourage keeping daily changes to a minimum, we appreciate that sometimes your child's arrangements change for a variety of reasons. To accommodate this, parents can change their child's arrangements as late as 12 noon on the day concerned directly via Vectare. If your child is booked on a regular bus, it is important that you let us know if you decide to drop off in the morning or collect from the school in the afternoon, otherwise this can result in unnecessary delay to the bus timetable and inconvenience to other parents who will be waiting at bus stops. If demand for a particular route is high, we reserve the right to cancel a booking if your child is not regularly using their seat i.e. on more than 5 occasions, except for illness.
